With a little over one month until the date, Roo Teeth has some exciting news about a change that it’s undergone for this year’s Rooster Teeth Australia (RTOZ) Fan Event!

RTOZ 2012 is set for June 16th, 2012 and is now being held at Strike Bowling Lounge: Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park.

The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park (formerly Fox Studios) is only a 5 minute bus ride from the city, with the buses frequenting every 10 minutes from all major train stations.
The reason for this change is largely to do with making the event the best it can be with the money you have paid for your tickets. The event at Kingpin wasn’t going to be what we wanted no matter how hard we worked, so we changed to a venue that really cared about what we wanted fore RTOZ’12. We now strongly believe that RTOZ 2012 will be an event to challenge all Rooster Teeth fans events to date!

Registration for the night will still open at 6pm with the event concluding at 11pm.

Your ticket includes:
• Entry into Strike Bowling
• 1 Game of bowling
• Unlimited Laser Skirmish
• Gourmet food platters
• 2 x alcoholic drink vouchers (or 4 x non-alcoholic drink vouchers)
• Unlimited use of pool tables
• Arcade Games Room Access
• Xbox competitions
• Rooster Teeth panel
• Your RTOZ Goodie-Bag
• Your RTOZ shirt

If you’ve purchased a ticket for a friend, or in another name (and its really for you) it’s really, really important that you give us the accurate information for our registration database. If you don’t, there could be a problem with you collecting your tickets at the door, so please send the details to info@rooteeth.com.

Please let me know if there are any issues with this change and I will endeavour to do my best to address them. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but strongly believe that this is the best direction for the event and we know that you will have the maximum amount of fun at RTOZ at Moore Park!

I am proud to announce (after much deliberation) that we have cemented the dates for RTOZ 2012!

This year the greatest fan event in the world will be held on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of June – Directly coinciding with Sydney Supanova.

Following the same format as last year, we will be holding a Friday evening event open to anyone and everyone who has any inclination towards the awesome community that has become of Roo Teeth. In addition, and keeping with tradition, Side-note: I make no apologies for my amazing rhyming skill’z we will also be holding a paid and ticketed Saturday night event.

At this point tickets are due to be released for purchase during the first week of March, though we will be releasing more information regarding the events themselves before then!
There will be a couple of changes to last year’s Pre-Event Madness, for example we won’t be having a fundraising drive this year.

*sadface* I know…

We will however be reinstating the ‘Donate’ button on the website for those of you who wanna show us a little love and help make this year’s RTOZ even bigger and better than the last.

As an aside I’d like to take this moment to remind people that we still have an abundance of unclaimed RTOZ 2011 shirts!
At this point in time we would rather see them heading off to their rightful owners, however if they aren’t claimed before too long we will offer them to anyone for purchase to help raise funds for RTOZ ’12, and to keep the cost of tickets as low as possible!
Just a reminder if you didn’t receive your shirt or you forgot to forward your address on to us, please send me an email at Justin@rooteeth.com with your ticket number if you can remember it , your name, your address and the email address used to purchase the ticket.

Well that just about does it for me here tonight! Just to recap:

RTOZ 2012 is being held in Sydney on the 15th & 16th of June!!!

Keep your eyes on the RTOZ RT Community Group, the Roo Teeth Facebook group and the Roo Teeth Twitter, not to mention the Roo Teeth website for all of your Australian Rooster Teeth Community news, and of course updates on the up-coming ARTST gatherings all around the country!

Have fun, stay safe and we’ll be in touch!!
Justin.

Congratulations to the very successful February MelbARTST gathering! A huge thanks to Melbourne’s Humans vs Zombies! Their next event is coming up in April and believe me when I say, you wont want to miss that excitement!

DISCLAIMER: If attending – you willingly put your BRAIN-DANAS at risk. HsV are in no way responsible for the potential zombie infection exposed to participants.

Now, I’m looking for some input from the Australian Rooster Teeth Community.

We all love conventions. The excitement we feel when knowing that one big place is going to hold all the things we love! I personally enjoy the cosplay and maybeeee a bit of the wrestling . I love the atmosphere, the costumes, the unique things for sale, the lines.

Well, maybe not the lines.

In fact, the worst part of all conventions, are the lines we wait in to get our autographs.

So, Roo Teeth would like to know what would make the wait in line to see Rooster Teeth, better for you?

It could be anything! If you think it – leave a comment and tell us! We’re looking for everyone’s ideas on how to make waiting in line seem shorter and not so terrible.

Let us know, because you never know, you may see your idea at the next convention Rooster Teeth are at!

HO HO HO! (and I’m not just talking about Saun!)

Christmas is fast approaching and what kind of coordinators would we be if we didn’t want to celebrate it with you; our fellow Rooster Teeth fans!

We are organising an ARTST Christmas Gathering in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth.

As requested by many people on our fast paced RTOZ Facebook Group we are working on a way to have each gathering live streamed to one another as they will all take place at the same time in each capital city! We’re going to try and sync the gatherings so epic funness can be had (and maybe some competitions *winky face*).

The gatherings will take place on Saturday the 17th of December. At the moment, we’re just working out some kinks and then we’ll post all the information EVERYWHERE!

If you’re keen to come along, post about it in this thread and tell us where you’re from! Otherwise, if you’d like by-the-minute information and general giggles, join us on our fun-filled RTOZ Facebook Group where you can stay in touch with your friends from Roo Teeth!

On a final note:

We would just like to extend the greatest of gratitude to you all for the support we received from everyone this year. For us, going from our first gathering in February, this year, of just 18-20 people, to a total of 220+ in just a few months is an incredible feat. We’re already working on RTOZ 2012 and with the increasing support and enthusiasm we’re receiving, I can’t wait to see what the New Year has in store for us!

Happy Christmas from all of us at Roo Teeth!

Find Part 2 – Here!

With the event being so successful, you know that a lot of work went into it, so I would like to take this time to thank the people who supported us, dedicated time to us and who made planning, organising and running the event as streamlined as possible.

Siren Visual – For providing us with awesome prizes for the winners of the raffle, the Xbox comp and Laser Skirmish. As Rooster Teeth’s Australian and New Zealand distributors, they’ve been incredible to Roo Teeth and I can’t wait to work with them in the future. Make sure you check them out!

OzCast Podcast – The Australian Rooster Teeth Community Podcast! Thank you for having me as a host, putting up with my lack of Nerd Culture knowledge, for endorsing Roo Teeth but most of all; thank you for being my closest friends. It’s such a pleasure to be able to work on things with the people you love the most and although sometimes it may seem like I take it for granted – you guys rock.

Everyone on Rooster Speak – From day one of this project, you have supported me. You’ve written journals, comforted me, donated time and money, told friends about it, made videos but most of all; you remain understanding when I disappear for days, weeks and even months on end and welcome me back with open arms and kind hearts when I return. I can’t explain how much the Rooster Speak family means and always will mean to me.

STUNTMEN – I have thoroughly enjoyed being a guinea pig for he entertainment of others, but more so getting to hang out and eat with you guys. I say eat, because that’s pretty much all I did! Om nom to the XTREME! Thank you Arvin, Glenn, Tim and Saun for all of the work you put in and for all of the things I learned along the way. i.e. how many marshmallows I can fit in my mouth without throwing up.

Marcelo Alves – or selfmadecelo, for being my web guru. Without him, Roo Teeth’s website would never have looked as professional as it does and I’d be lost in regards to all things internet. Thank you, Celo.

Kim Mungcal – For all things design. He reds things and he reds them good. Kim has been incredible from the very first ARTST gathering in Sydney. With his dynamic designs and know-how about everything professional; I’d have gotten nowhere without him.

Arvin Mendoza – He’s a ninja. Nothing else sums it up. Arvin has helped me see the things I miss on a daily basis due to my intense-schedule-tunnel-vision. He picks up on the things that you want, whether it be through Facebook, RT, Twitter or YouTube and he relays them to me to implement into what you see from us. Ninja – I’m telling you.

Justin Pickering – Running Roo Teeth from our apartment isn’t easy, especially when it’s likely that the events will fall outside of NSW – but with his continued support and encouragement, I was able to successfully turn something I’d imaged; into something real. Justin has been involved with Roo Teeth since the first day we met. He jumped on board whole heartedly and has never looked back. Thanks for putting me to bed when I fall asleep at my computer, honey.

Rhianna Young & Ainsley Louise – I still can’t believe how ready they both were to assist me in every way they could. I absolutely threw Rhi into the deep end with no preparation and she handled it with such grace and poise. While I was running around like a headless chook, Ainsley held the fort and continued to not only take initiative towards the event but she made sure I was personally okay throughout the duration of the evening. I couldn’t have asked for better assistants when we were under such a crazy amount of pressure. You ladies rule.

All of the photographers – It’s the duty of the photographer to stay behind the photo, rather than be in it and when it comes to an event for Rooster Teeth; that’s a pretty big sacrifice to make.
From memory, it was Arvin, Glenn, Adrian and Nelly consistently taking photos over the duration of the two nights. There are thousands of photos you didn’t get a chance to be in, but thousands that other people are grateful that you took.

Josh – I hadn’t seen or properly spoken to Josh in months, but he rocked up the Saturday night, Justin handed him a piece of paper and Josh worked his hardest from start to end of the Xbox competitions. I was blown away by how quickly and readily he jumped into the deep end with what we asked him to do. Thank you, Josh.

The staff – Justin, Arvin, Ainsley & Kim along with the volunteers – Tim, Beau, Saun, Glenn, Sean, Treb, Christopher, Josh, Rhianna, Tom, Ari, Nelly, Danny; who each may have sacrificed their turns at bowling or at skirmish; these are members of Roo Teeth who missed out on getting a picture with the staff or get anything signed and who, so diligently, helped out in every way they could over the course of the two nights – thank you. Those two words don’t seem enough, but I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart.

A huge thank you to Burnie, Brandon and Joel for attending RTOZ. If it wasn’t for Rooster Teeth, none of us would have been there, none of us would have forged the friendships we have done through the site and let’s face it; we’d all be just that little bit sadder without Caboose in our lives.
Thanks for consuming all the alcohol in our country, guys.

And last but absolutely not least, I want to say thank you to everyone who donated, everyone who attended, everyone who wanted to attend and everyone who supported us from afar. For our next event, I will endeavour to make the adjustments that you have suggested in your surveys and of course, I promise to ease up on the mic! (I still maintain that it’s because not everyone could hear me and no I won’t use Beau!)

I hope to see you all again at Roo Teeth’s next project; be it RTOZ, ARTST or something else. I loved meeting you, watching you laugh and hearing your stories. Your smiles are what made every second of preparation worth it, so thank you for making everything that all the people involved with Roo Teeth have been working tirelessly towards, totally worth it.

Now, if you’ll excuse me – I have to go clean a drawing of a penis off the RvB banner!

Cheers!
